Fuerte Day 3 | 19.03.2012 |
Arrived well at Fuerteventura, eager to spend the next two weeks at the magnificent training center in Las Playitas.
Couldn't write anything earlier because we only got internet today, but I will try to post some updates over the next few days. |

Team time trial | 18.09.2011 |
For the first time ever I took part in a team time trial, namely the "Gruppo Marende" event in Lienz, together with my comrades Werner Uran, Christoph Leitner and Fabian Steindl. Unfortunately we had bad luck with our late start time and got into some heavy rain and wind. Nevertheless I think we had a great team spirit, worked together quite well and at the end we finished 17th overall (43.73km/h average, 2s behind 13th place, 25s behind 9th).
We will try to cut and edit all the photos and the video later on today.
Stay tuned!

DNF in Faak | 05.09.2011 |
As you can see in the bike vid, I wasn’t able to finish the last triathlon of my 2011 season in
Faak am See (Olympic Distance). Actually I felt pretty good right from the beginning and had
a great swim start, but shortly after the very sharp turn around the first swim buoy I felt a piercing
pain in my lower back area which tortured me the rest of the swim.
I wanted to see if it might get better once I’m on the bike, but unfortunately it got even worse and I had to cut back my performance to around 50-60% of my full potential which lead to the DNF after two of four bike laps.
At this point I don’t think it has any sense to start at another competition this year, which will give me time to fully regenerate physically and psychically…
I’ll keep you updated on any future plans and/or events.
