After all these months of hard work and training, I'm gonna have my first
competition this week. The so called "Days of truth" consist of a 1500m swim
in a short course pool on thursday, a 40k time trail on saturday and last but
not least a 10k track run on sunday.
At the moment I'm not 100% in shape (bit of a cold), but I am
still able to train and hope that it will be gone by tomorrow.
After having a great week of a lot of triathlon theory and some quite
interesting training methods and lessons, we finished with a swimming
lesson today and I'm finally "back on the web".
By doing mulitple tests (e.g. twice Conconi on thursday) recently,
I can say that my winter and spring training seems to work until now.
My running abilities are far better than expected at this point
(no really fast training so far), but I still got a great amount of work
to do with my swimming technique.
1 week away | 19.04.2008
From tomorrow 'til next saturday I'll take the third and last week
in my "triathlon instructor" lessons. I'm sure it's gonna be great fun, but there won't be any updates for a while.
Also I didn't train much this week, because I had an exam this friday
and LOTS of stuff going on at university. But on the other hand I'm
feeling great in all three disciplines and can't wait for the first competitions. Only 2 weeks to go..
Take care..
Song of the day | 12.04.2008
This song followed me trough the whole day..
First I heard it in the morning on the radio just before swim training, then again twice during my endurance run on the IPod and all I could think of on the bike ride afterwards was "IIIIFFF you really need me.." (damn earworm)
(By the way I'm glad nobody wears such pants anymore! xD)
P.S: Tomorrow 08:45 live coverage of Ishighaki world cup. (Come on, Simon!)
Captcha | 11.04.2008
Finished my anti-spam-captcha in the guestbook.
Hope you guys like math...

If you ever want to give away your bike better try something else than my anonymous friend here did.. ;)
(Once you get to this point I think it's like saying farewell to a good friend.)
Great races in down-under | 08.04.2008
I don't know if any of you watched the world cup race in New Plymouth / NZL this weekend, but these guys are definitely pulling it out.
I mean 29:37 for 10,2 kilometers?! You gotta be kidding me...
I'm sure we can expect some amazing races during the olympic year and hopefully at the games itself.
